A leading humanitarian none for profit organization in Wa known as Hajia Humu Foundation has once again put smiles on the faces of little Atif Sumaila family after donating to them GH¢6,000.00 towards the cost of surgery.
The said donated amount is to add up to some money the family secured already through their week-long appeal for the fund to make it complete cost for the 5-month-old baby boy.
The Foundation has been supporting various projects in the Upper West Region and this is no exception.
According to the foundation, it has established that there has being a weeklong old appeal for fund of GH¢13,000.00 required for the surgery, but they only managed to secure GH¢8,000.00 hence the rationale behind the foundation’s support.
Speaking to newsmen on behalf CEO of Humu foundation who doubled as a one-time parliamentary candidate for Wa Central, Hajai Humu Awudu, secretary for the foundation Abubakari A. Kpeglaa said the donation is in response to an appeal made by the parents on several media houses including Sungmaale FM, Metro TV and Radio Waa requesting for financial assistance from the public for Atif to undergo surgery immediately.
The philanthropist politician added that “it was my fervent prayer that Allah guide and protect this baby as he undergoes this surgery in the coming days”.
“It is her firm belief that this money will be put to the right use so that the child would be able to undergo the surgery and Insha Allah will return to normalcy”. He admonished.
The donation was handed over to Sungmaale FM for onward handing over to the family.
Acknowledging the support, father of little Atif expressed gratitude to the Hajia Humu and her foundation for the swift intervention.
And call on other individuals and organizations to emulate such.
